Kristen grew up in South Carolina and Georgia where she graduated from Augusta University with a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy. After college, she relocated to Philadelphia to work for Children’s Hospital and later met her husband Keith at Tenth Presbyterian Church.
At Tenth, Kristen served families with young children with disabilities as the nursery coordinator. In 2007, she began Tenth’s special-needs ministry and served for nine years. She joined Engaging Disability in 2012 as a volunteer ministry facilitator and then joined the staff in 2016 as associate director of Congregational Ministry.
Kristen was diagnosed with epilepsy as an adult, and her son has multiple learning disabilities. Keith and Kristen reside in Havertown with their two children and are members of Proclamation Presbyterian Church in Bryn Mawr.
